Freedom Start Bushcraft came about as a dream of Peter Short, from Saint John, New Brunswick. Growing up as a small boy, his father took him to the woods and taught him all he knew about Hunting, Fishing, and Bushcraft survival.
When he became of age, he got involved with the Saint John Wildlife Fish and Game. He also followed in his father's footstep by joining the military and spent time in the North Atlantic, learning Arctic Survival Skills.
It is this knowledge and hands-on experience that he would like to share with his family and friends. In so making his lifelong dream become reality.
With this, we are pleased to say that he is also about ready to launch a new Web Store and UA-cam channel for those of his fellow East Coast Canada Bushcraft and Survival Friends.
We look forward to helping in all your Bushcraft Survival and Prepping needs. Look for us at www.freedomstart.ca, you can also contact us from there as well. Happy trails and see you soon.

Glad you can get these in Canada.
I bet your son still remembers that day.
Just checking in,wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a happy new year
Fantastic. Keep on campin. Cheers 🍻
So, the SAS survival guide is just a smaller version of the SAS survival manual, right?
Where do you get the arctic mask?
That one I got at the local army Surplus store.
Great video 💯
Thanks 💯
World needs more Dads like you
You're teaching firearm safety but not wearing eye protection. Hmmm...
Good to see you back
Thanks, It is nice to get back out, its been a long time coming.
Good to see you out in the woods, Peter. Stay safe and stay cool
Thanks, can't wait to get out more.
cool Pete to see back again
Thanks Craig, it was great to be out.
Great Seeing Ya Back Pete
Thanks Terry, finally starting to get health issues under control and feeling a little better.
I had to put 2 layers of gel inserts to make them comfortable.
This worked great one time and all the glue was off.
You are all wonderful!
That is one hot mama bear! Great job brother, great video also
We never wore webbing when using the ruck, the webbing was draped over the ruck.
Outstanding firearm safety my friend. Great review. You sold me. I’m buying one.
As long as you have this piece of kit set up properly, they are comfortable. I always carried my kit using this ruck high up on my back. When loaded up with my personal kit, a LAW rocket and an ammo box for the C6 (200 rounds of 7.62) it would easily get over 60lbs. Worn properly it was an easy go and it never let me down. A good piece of kit for sure and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good ruck.
Boom! Hitting hard on the fella! He wants to shoot 2! That’s a good kid! Well done friend
pretty sure your gut is supposed to stay behind the webbing
Awesome Dad!!! subbed
Probably the same company supplying the arms to suppress hongkong rioters lol. Just made my mind up. Good review. Bad shotgun(no matter if it works)
I cannot believe you guys actually like the 82 ruck; a bigger piece of garbage has never been issued to a soldier. The 82 bag [on a 64 frame] was the only good part of it. With the valise mounted, it was a crippler of a system. It cannot be jumped with paratroopers, and in the cold, the whole s--tbox just fell to pieces, or the pull tabs would absorb water, swell, then freeze, making it necessary to use a set of multitool pliers to open them. Wore it from 84 to 99, after many mods to make it wearable: grommets reinforced, zap straps, bungy cords, and paracord, fastex buckles for the mag pouches; In 'C' company, 1 PPCLI, we were eventually lugging 15 to 20 kg of crap on it, without a rucksack, and looked like a bunch of military bagmen.
I just saw this on line and it took me about 5 seconds to decide to order it. I've never heard of this book before today but I was instantly looking forward to it's arrival. Looked ideal for an EDC, and that's where it's going. Thanks for sharing your review!
Hope you enjoy it!
Good job 👍🏻 dad! Good man.
I dont know if you look at your comments anymore but you ahould make some videos💯🇺🇸

I remember teaching my son how to shoot right about that age. Then he grew up and became an MP in the Marines, then he taught me how to shoot!
Teaching him right, good stuff. Ain't gonna throw a baseball for about a week, but he did good! Hehe, "wanna try it again?" Without pause, "YEAH!" Peace
Where the hech are you and how do I live stream you now?
This was touching
Excellent field review. Mine came with the black rubber air mattress, which I leave out. Bit of a nuisance carrying around a tractor tire inner tube for extra sleep comfort. Drop that 4 or 5 lbs right off the bat. Great video!
Is there a magazine extension tube for this shotgun?
Can anyone please tell me the length of first barrel and where I can purchase one ?
Communist China approved.
What did he says about his ears?
Where can I get a field butt stock?
Not sure mine came with it I want the other one myself
Eek!! It's the Zodiac!! LOL JK
I bought one of these for $200 from Rural King about 2 months ago. The first thing I used it for was to begin my journey with shooting clays. I'm not very good at it but it is a lot of fun! Going to the club to shoot skeet and five stand has become a weekend ritual for me and my daughter. My Stevens (28" barrel) has been a joy to shoot. I recommend grabbing one if you can find it.
Thanks for a great family video with safety taught first . Nice job ! God bless you all way up there in Canada.
I broke mine , it was just spot welded together
Im ordering one right now.
Wonderful family. God bless!
Thank you so much!
Love the sound of the slide
